What should a man do if he is diagnosed with an infection?

If clinically visible lesions are found in a man, treatment is recommended. In case of subclinical lesions on the penis, no treatment is recommended, but a condom should be used because this reduces the viral load transmitted during sexual contact. It is known that the use of a condom offers only 60-70% protection against infection. It is also known that the use of a condom (usually for six months) decreases recurrences in women and helps in the faster regression of subclinical lesions.
